Hannah and David had wisely planned a few hours gap between the ceremony and the bigger reception, so they’d have time to take more pictures at Hannah’s beach and then some actual downtime to relax and perhaps catch a quick nap in the middle of the big day. I was pretty much sunned out at that point, so decided to cut straight to the downtime, and went back to Willa’s to enjoy a couple hours of couch and sci-fi tv shows and beloved air conditioning! So, unfortunately, I missed such glorious pictures as this:
But I’m glad someone did!
And I got to rest and help Willa with the centerpieces for the reception, so it all worked out. 🙂
A Fantastically Frolicsome Reception 🙂
Kathy and Mike! (and KathieMell’s back)
They started out singing “Lucky (I’m in love with my best friend)”, and then Ben and Jess took over…
and they danced for the first time as Husband and Wife 🙂 (flashmobs don’t count!)
David’s paternal Grandpa (who is too cool for school – check him out with his flip flops! 🙂 ) offered up a blessing, a prayer, and some scripture.
There were more toasts, some tears, and lots of hugs and laughter.
Then David danced with his Mom, Cheryl, and Hannah danced with Papa Bill
And then everybody danced!
And some people just kept on being adorable 🙂
Of course, there was cake!
And then the Draper brothers became the Blues Brothers!
And a whole lot more dancing and ridiculousness!
Altogether a lovely, lovely evening!
